David Evans has proved his versatility over the past 12 months by training more than 100 winners under all codes, and with more than 70 horses in his care he is enjoying another successful campaign.
He continues to upgrade his string and this is reflected in the stable’s early season form. His two-year-olds are in great shape with Star Rover leading the way with a four-timer and Jack My Boy winning three times. As well as his clever placement of horses, time and time again he demonstrates an ability to find improvement from those that join his Abergavenny stable.
Previously unsuccessful Samaria Warrior has won four times for Evans and Carcinetto, claimed for £6,000 at Bath, maintains her phenomenal winning ways – to date the Danetime mare has won ten races and almost £90k. The stable is also strengthened by the arrival of Catherine Gannon as the regular lightweight and continued support from former champion jockey Jamie Spencer.
