David Evans has proved his versatility over the past 12 months by training more than 100 winners under all codes, and with more than 70 horses in his care he is enjoying another successful campaign.
He continues to upgrade his string and the facilities at his Abergavveny stables and this is reflected in the stable’s early season form. Once again his two-year-olds have done well with the likes of Redair, Jack Who's He, Cockney Rebel and Aquasulis, and has more nice two-year-olds to come which were bought at the Goresbridge and Ascot Breeze-ups
As well as his clever placement of horses, time and time again he demonstrates an ability to find improvement from those who join the stable. Norville is a prime example, winning six times, being raised 30lbs in the handicap and recently acquitting himself well in group company at The Curragh. Stable stalwart I Confess scored four wins off the reel in his seven successes this year and Fred Willetts has four wins to name.
The stable is strengthened by the arrival of the very much in-form Catherine Gannon as the regular lightweight, and continued support from former champion jockey Jamie Spencer.
