Our Facilities
Set in 65 acres just six miles east of Abergavenny, Ty-Derlwyn offers secure stabling in 70 light, roomy, well-ventilated boxes in five American style barns. During his time at Ty-Derlywn David has established a demanding uphill all-weather sand gallop, and a circular sand gallop, as well as an enclosed sand ring for schooling and breaking.
A series of chase fences, introductory hurdles and standard hurdles offer excellent schooling opportunities to the stable’s growing band of National Hunt recruits.Ensuring a horse's temperament is well balanced is an important part of the training regime at Ty-Derlwyn and there are several securely fenced turn-out paddocks which allow inmates to relax together.The stable has its own transport, with two boxes having a combined carrying capacity for seven horses.

David has been fortunate to secure sponsorship from M & R Refurbishments. Established in 1999, the company provides planned property maintenance services to the social and private sectors, principally social landlords and local authorities. M & R Refurbishments carry out repairs and redecoration to upwards of 3,000 units each year across the south of England for clients that include London and Quadrant, Hyde Group, Amicus Horizon and Croydon Council.
